Features:
- Provides methods for receipt of xml-based messages from the business host. These XML messages can contain descriptions of any type of business transaction and are user configurable using simple tools. A number of pre-packaged xml message formats are available for common document types like invoices and purchase orders. You may define an unlimited number of document types.
- A high-performance database to store and index your business documents. This database can be searched based on user-specified key words and meta tags.
- Support for non-xml based inbound messages including the ability to parse standard print files, csv documents and any other text-based message format.
- The ability to reach-out from eDOC to the business server for real-line retrieval of information from any external resource.
- A easy to use WYSIWYG editor for the creation of document templates. If you can use a word processor, you can design templates with eDOC.
- A complete web content management system to create highly customized web sites for your customers including FAQ's knowledge bases, company web-sites, intranets and more.
- A flexible and powerful menu system.
- A user management and authentication system.
- A powerful document management and editing capability.
With Blue Prairie eDOC, you can make your vital business documents available to your customers and vendors 24/7 in a secure web portal. Customers can choose to view their documents as standard HTML, PDF, Print, email and other formats. eDOC avoids the pitfalls of first generation solutions that baked your transaction information into static and inflexible pdf format. When you email notifications to your customer, you no longer email attachments but, instead, your emails contain only small links back to your web portal. Only email recipients with valid logins and passwords may access the document.
Link based document distribution offers several benefits over traditional pdf-attached email including:
- With links, viewing of the document requires a login and password since the link directs the user back to your secure web portal making distribution of sensitive information more secure.
- Emails sent to customers contain only links and no actual business information. This results in a much smaller email and since there are no attachments, a higher percentage of these emails can traverse your clients email and spam filters.
